Sports Recap w/ Virtue - Week 5

Week 5 in the TCBA was a "grind it out" week for the teams that played. The early matchup featured Daniel's Warriors and the Brampton Royals where both teams showed great offensive ball rotation getting everyone involved. The things that were able to change the outcome of the game were Daniel's Warriors failure to box out, which allowed the Brampton Royals to score on fast break drives, and setting up the defense early. The Royals also got to the foul line often late in the game allowing them to take the 64 - 40 victory over Daniel's Warriors.

In the late game matchup, we saw Malton and the Perth/Toronto West squad go at it for two halves. The game began more like a tennis match with both teams moving the ball well up and down the court exchanging leads by exercising their ball knowledge and physicality on one another. In the second half, the was a consistent flow of offense coming from both teams but the game was decided by Perth/Toronto West capitalizing on turnovers by Malton, scoring on fast breaks. This allowed Perth/Toronto West to blow the game wide open for a 62 - 30 victory.
