Sports Recap - Week 4

Week four of the TCBA was electrifying in both games that took place. The early game was a matchup between Malton SDA and Daniel’s Warriors where both teams executed on defense keeping the score close in the early minutes of the game. Mississauga had a fast attacking offense which gave them the early lead but Malton responded with a 5-0 run to tie the game. The second half started off slow with both teams suffering from untimely turnovers slightly derailing the offense, but both made up for the slow start with hustle and nailing three point attempts. While the minutes wore down, Daniel’s Warriors started working the middle which helped in setting up great assists and easy looks to get points. They clamped down on defense, keeping the pressure on and held on to win the game.

The late game was a dramatic one between Toronto East and the Brampton Royals. Both teams came out scoring trying to oppose their will on each other, flexing their offensive muscle which quickly tapered off but remained entertaining. The Brampton Royals took the lead early in the game but due to early foul trouble Toronto East was able to keep the score close by capitalizing on hitting their foul shots in bonus. In the second half, Toronto East kept the pressure on the defense with great ball rotation which freed up lanes for deep penetration and easy points inside. That formula gave them the lead. The Brampton Royals weren't going to give up without a fight playing from behind. They hit late 3 point shots to keep the game close but foul trouble and clamp down defense hindered the Royals offensive come back. Toronto East held on for their first win of the season.

Be sure to come out next week and support your team. Great play is derived from fans so please support.
